How to add text to an image
Upload an image, enter the text you want to place on it, and customize the appearance before creating the final image. The preview helps you adjust the text while the finished image is rendered at the uploaded image's dimensions and exported as PNG.
Customize the text overlay
Choose the font family, font size, text color, opacity and alignment. Horizontal and vertical position controls let you move the text to a suitable area of the image.
Optional text shadow
Enable a shadow when the text needs more separation from a detailed background. You can choose the shadow color and adjust its blur amount.
Browser-based text rendering
The image and text overlay are rendered with the browser's Canvas API. The tool draws the uploaded image first and then places your configured text over it. The generated result is encoded as a PNG before it is prepared for download.
Common uses for image text
Captions
Add short captions, labels or descriptive text directly to a photo or graphic.

Place a heading over an image for simple promotional, presentation or social graphics.
Labels
Mark images with names, categories, dates or other short identifying information.
Tips for readable text overlays
- • Use a text color that contrasts with the image background.
- • Keep important text away from visually busy areas when possible.
- • Use the shadow option when foreground and background colors are similar.
- • Check the preview after changing size, alignment or position.
